The Open Field apparatus is broadly used to assess exploratory behaviour and is validated for use in the measurement of anxiety related behaviours.


 

  • Available for rat or mouse (mouse version pictured left).
  • Available with transparent or opaque walls.
  • Walls fit solidly in slotted base, but lift off for easy cleaning.
  • Grey, non reflective base plate.

 
 
  
  • Rat version has an optional divider (pictured right) to create four 50x50cm arenas.
  • A fully automated version of this test, for mouse, is also available.
